Before you start

- Know pickup and delivery locations and appointment times.
- Have driver, truck, trailer, rate, and equipment details if already known.
Step-by-step instructions
- From the left menu, open Operations > Loads.
- Click New load at the top right of the Loads page.
- Enter broker or customer details and the load number.
- Add pickup and delivery stops with appointment times.
- Enter rate, equipment, and reference details.
- Assign driver, truck, and trailer if ready.
- Save the load and open the detail page to review it.
Review checklist
Use this checklist before you save, send, approve, or rely on the record.
- Load number: The broker or office reference used to find the load.
- Customer or broker: The account tied to the load and invoice.
- Pickup and delivery: The route, facilities, dates, and appointment times.
- Assignment: Driver, truck, trailer, and dispatcher.
- Rate: The freight amount used later for billing and reports.
What happens next
After saving, attach the rate confirmation, update status as the load moves, and collect POD or BOL documents after delivery.
Common problems and fixes
- If a facility is missing, add or search the facility list.
- If a driver or truck does not appear, check active status.
- If reports look wrong later, check rate, miles, and dates on the load.
Tips for carrier offices
- Enter clean appointment times before dispatch begins.
- Attach source documents instead of relying on email only.
- Use the same broker load number that appears on paperwork.
